When do classes really start and finish?

You may check UofT’s calendar for Arts and Science at
http://www.artsandscience.utoronto.ca/ofr/calendar/Sessional_Dates.html
and for engineering at http://www.apsc.utoronto.ca/Calendars/2014-2015/
Be sure to look at the appropriate year and term!

How many days in advance it is recommended to arrive in Toronto in order to be able to organize myself before classes begin? Is there a specific date for us to arrive?

The letter of acceptance the students receive come with a stated date for arriving in Canada. Usually it is one week earlier than the beginning of your classes, so that you can solve problems related to housing and start adapting to the city. You don’t really need to arrive one week earlier, although it is recommended. However, you should be here before your classes begin.

That depends if you have a place to stay or not. Sometimes, students rent a place to stay for the entire year when they are still in Brazil. If you don't, I would recommend 15 days in advance.

When do classes really start?
That depends on your ELP time. Are you going to do ELP? For how long?

Is there a specific date for us to arrive?
You must be in Toronto and attend your first class.

When exactly does my studies begin and end?
Your studies begin and end at the same time as the Uoft term.

I'm not going to do ELP. So, since I will officially start on September, I just want to know if there's a way to know if the first day will be September 1st as it was saying in my admission letter. It's importante for me to know this because I will have a test here in Brazil during the first week of September.

In 2014, students who were doing ELP for 3 months started in September, 29th even though the letter said that it would start September, 22nd.

You probably should ask the person that sent you this admission letter.
